It’s been another busy week in Kingfisher class! Thank you to all our parents who attended parents’ evening online, it was good to speak to you all.
We have continued to read Mill Girl and develop skills in diary writing, refining the “author’s voice” in different ways. The children have been shocked to learn about the twelve hour days, six days a week that Victorian children were often expected to work. School seems very easy in comparison!
Our Jigsaw work has been about racism and how to stand up against it. The children designed campaign ribbons, as you can see below.
In maths we have been working on calculations with fractions, with particular emphasis on reasoning skills and precise explanations.
You will find this week’s homework on Seesaw, from the children’s CGP books.
