Well done to everyone in Eagles Class this week. You’ve all worked so hard and achieved so much academically and socially. You are on board with all the classroom routines and procedures in place to ensure everyone’s safety and wellbeing and you don’t look quite as tired this Friday as you did last week!
In English we’ve begun to study the exquisitely illustrated, wordless book, Journey by Aaron Becker, which will form the basis for our narrative writing this half term.
We have analysed the first page and wonder who is the girl on the steps? Why is she feeling so despondent? Is it her house? Why is the scooter bright red when everything else is so dull and drab? These are just a few of the questions raised by the children. Hopefully we’ll find the answers and more next week ...
We are are hooked by the storyline and characters of our class novel by Lisa Thompson.
and it’s fantastic to hear the children enthuse about the books they are reading and explaining why they would recommend them to others to read too.
We took advantage of the weather and outdoor space to enjoy the ‘let’s connect’ part of our Jigsaw PSHE lesson
and to end the week, a very well deserved half hour of Golden Time
